I’m not gonna lie it’s quite dirty. There’s dead bugs on the floor EVERYWHERE. And the landlord left used soap bars in hot showers and by the sinks. We’ve had to use sweep, vacuum and bleach spray all in the first 8 hours yesterday after move in. We’re harboring Holly and already had to hide her from the maintenance plan. After days in the car and another round trip to Orlando today to switch out the van with another van. I am tired to say the least. And with all that being said, I ended my day with my favorite girl and my favorite kitty on the living room couch watching King of Queens. Just where I’ve always pictured us. And it made me so so happy. Looking out across the street at the beautiful lake and the pretty sunset. I know I am tired and not everything is perfect and Court and I did have a big fight our first night in Orlando. I am still reminded we have so many things to work on and there’s still so many things I am currently working through to become a better me but at the end of the day I need to remind myself more of the times I was laying in bed, whether it was heartbroken Christmas 2022 or COVID in January 2024, and just remember lying there and crying myself to sleep, knowing I would do anything to have Court and Holly right there with me. And we’ll, there are the “anything.” A little dirt, some bugs, some long drives, but right now I am sitting next to my girlfriend in my bed in Lake Placid, Florida and Holly is sitting right between us and I am so lucky and I am in that moment right now and feeling it. We made it!
