When I Say I Love Her

When I say I love her, it is because I always have.

She has seen the deepest, darkest, depths of my soul.

She has seen me vulnerable and in pain.

And she loved me harder.

When I say I love her, I say it with no hesitation.

When we are young we don't realize how deep we can feel.

My heart aches when I see here.

Not in pain, but in deep, terrified to lose her, way.

When I say I love her, know that I hold nobody but God higher.

I will serve her as I serve God.

I will protect her and I will do all things in kindness.

I serve her not out of obligation but out of deep respect and love.

When I say I love her,  it's because she makes me feel warm.

Like when you wake up to the sun shining through the windows in the morning.

When the temperature is 75 degrees and you know it's going to be a good day.

That is how I feel.

When I say I love her, it is because I know no other way.

She loves so fierce and so brave. She shows me every single day.

I know what love is because of her.

And I will give her the love she deserves every single day.

When I say I love her, I mean it.
